Miniature Canada goose by Miles Hancock,
Chincoteague Island, VA (1888-1974). This is without a doubt
the finest Hancock mini that I have seen. At almost 7 ½
" long and 3 ¼" tall, it is larger than most
other Hancock miniatures. With its excellent attention to
detail with respect to paint and carving along with its great
patina, I believe this bird is an earlier carving probably
done in the 50's. A must have for any serious Hancock collector.
